| Red Television Group | July 21, 2006 , Deerfield Beach , FL – Red Television Group is pleased to announce the selection of Sipstech, Inc. for its innovative, educational television series, Business & Beyond. The organization will be featured in a segment on “Innovative Energy Efficient Building Products” in our Models of Excellence Series. Structural Insulated Panels, also referred to as SIPs or laminated panels, are high-performance building panels for floors, walls and roofs in residential and commercial buildings. SIPSTECH is owned and operated by Ecopan, based in Alberta , Canada , which has been designing and selling SIP manufacturing equipment since 1992. Each panel is typically made using expanded polystyrene, rigid foam insulation squeezed in-between two structural skins of oriented strand board (and other skins can be utilized depending on the application), and other surfaces that meet specific construction needs. The result is a building system that is exceptionally strong, predictable, energy- and cost-effective. SIPSTECH construction replaces traditional timber frame, brick built houses and pre-fabricated type buildings. SIP panels are used effectively in the construction of housing, industrial buildings, warehouses, extensions, roof/floor panels, barns/ conversions, and much more and their popularity is growing each year. Building with SIPs generally costs about the same as building with wood frame construction, factoring in the labor savings resulting from shorter construction time and less job-site waste. Other savings are recognized because less expensive heating and cooling systems are required with SIP construction. SIPSTECH offers a solution for every budget, with product lines beginning with the Standard Product Line, to Universal High Volume Production Line (short and long versions), Automated Wall Production Line, and the newly added High Volume Cement Skin Volume Line and CNC Cutting Table. SIP buildings are known to be more energy efficient, stronger, and better insulated from noise than other systems.
